St Andrews Womens Fellowship
The Fellowship meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30 pm. We meet to talk and listen to each other and to interesting guest speakers. As well, we participate in social and serving activities directed to both chirch and community needs. For example, we organise theatre parties, fashion parades, pancake breakfasts, concerts and opportunities for women in the local community to meet together.
We support needy causes such as country people affected by drought and the construction of wells in Niger.
All women are welcome.
St Andrews Support Services - SASS
SASS serves the community through its volunteers who provide those in need with a personal caring presence, transport for appointments and shopping, and meals. There is no charge for this service, costs being met by donations. More volunteers would be welcome, especially drivers. No special training is needed. Would you like to help? Do you need help for yourself or for someone you know?
Voices from the past - Speaking to us?
Discussion group, studies the Bible, church history, social issues, every second Thursday night, 7.30 - 9.30pm.
This group meets to study and discuss the stories and thoughts of the writers of the book we now call the Bible, so that we can see whether, and how, they are relevant to modern life. Discussions are very wide ranging, light-hearted and stimulating and there are no questions that cannot be asked – although there are some that cannot be answered! The group also looks at church history and how it has influenced the way the church is today, and current social issues about which the church does or could have something to say.
Fourth Monday night of the month and other events as announced.
Stay Active - Stay Fit
Physical health is just as important as our mental, emotional and spiritual health. These classes are open to anyone interested in building core strength, flexibility and balance in a friendly environment.
Held at St Andrews - Tuesdays 8.00 to 8.30 am and Fridays 8.00 to 8.45 am.
We would also welcome anyone interested in joining us on an hour-long bushwalk on the first Tuesday of the month.
St Andrews partners with Turramurra Uniting Church to conduct a twice yearly Flea Market at the TUC complex. See the Flea Market page for details.
